This simple statement from Ratatouille is a deep truth that often takes many years to understand. After seeing GOD move in the ’90’s, I found my self foundered by the very fact that I had seen HIM move before. This in fact kept me from seeing HIM moving now.

The Two Towers
I think it’s interesting that Gandalf has to die in order to become the one he always was supposed to be. He became the person that Sauruman should have been.
1- Gandalf died to live
2- he never assumed his role
3- he hid his power
4- he was thoroughly changed by his calling
5- he was humble, but determined and now KNEW his destiny
6- his fear left
I feel this way now since Kenya.

Every time I watch the Lord of the Rings series, I am taken back by the way Aragorn never assumes his role.
It’s interesting to note the humility of the King to be.
1 – he never assumes the prophecies are true about himself.
2 – he never requires anyone to give him respect he deserves due to his birth.
3 – he never brags about his history in prior battles and actions.
4 – he faithfully takes the supporting role and serves others.
5 – he does his best to place others into their destiny.
