Renaissance of a Soul

This week it is my pleasure to welcome David McGlone a good friend of the Tapestry’s! He will be preaching this Sunday, July 4th at our 11AM service.

Please come out and support him. Pastor Jose has been telling us so much about his work and some of us have met him already. He is coming this week, so check out his awesome ministry website here at www.papaonline.org and come ready to give to support this wonderful cause!

Pastor Jose is challenging us to support students through a week of these camps by giving money to sponsor their fees. So, come on out and be encouraged by his message and let’s show them how the Tapestry does it! If you wish to give, you can make checks out to the Tapestry and place in the memo line, “For: PAPA.”

4^th of July Family Night Picnic, fireworks and water bottle outreach  coming up this Sunday.

We are getting together at 5 pm at Newport Mill, you may have to walk a few blocks or so as they will block off the streets surrounding the school. Hey guys, it was a great time yesterday and I loved getting to know the newer people. I think we had 50 people come out. 

Please bring coolers and water (for outreach). You can bring water Sunday am and we can set it up for everyone. Our goal is to give away 700 water bottles to people. We need at least half of the leaders/coaches pastors to bring two cases. At this time we have three cases of water (as well as Jose & Laura has cases of water) .

Bring a covered dish to share for our potluck dinner.

We have two 12 pack leftover sodas and lots of chips from yesterday.

This Sunday will be a great time of fellowship and outreach, we look forward to seeing you. Let Su Cheng know if you have questions.

2010 6yr Anniversary Project - Just a reminder to those of you that have signed out blocks/arts supplies for the Tapestry, please have everything turned in no later than July 11th so we can begin to assemble everything. Interested parties willing to sew, please contact Ashley Shepherd after service on the 11th.

Ladies Small Group is CANCELED - To ensure everyone that wants to participate can be a part, the Ladies Small Group is now going to be a Ladies Sunday School Class which will meet two (2) Sunday mornings a month before service at 10am. July 11^th & 25^th Anger Part 1 & 2, August 8^th & 22^nd Unforgiveness  Part 1 & 2, September 5^th & 19^th Depression/Grief Part 1 & 2. Interested parties, please see Ashley Shepherd.

We Have Moved!

Tapestry Church has moved for the summer. Our new location is: Newport Mill Middle School, 11311 Newport Mill Road, Kensington, MD 20895

Because we have moved locations, for the next 2 Sundays we need volunteers to help direct everyone to the right place. That means we need a person at the old place directing people over to the new place and we need a person at the new place helping direct cars to the correct parking lot and/or people into the correct doors. Please see Lori if interested.

Cookout Series Last Sunday of the month beginning in June. The first cookout was Sunday June 27 and was AMAZING!!!! The location has changed to Newport Mill Park  around the corner from service, 12101 Newport Mill Road.  Cookout  begins after morning service tear down for food on the grill. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. For more info contact Patrick Kim at patrickdkim@tapestrychurch.org

Entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks show will begin approximately 9:15 p.m. Bring coolers   for outreach.  Contact is Lori Hedrick for more details.

Our Vineyard family at the Barn is sending a team to Haiti to work with the missions the Vineyard supports there. We as a church have been supporting the continued work there, so here is their info in case you want to follow their journeys.
