Facebook Status update from my birthday | A note from pd

Hi Again Everyone,

I hope this month of November has been good to you. It has been AMAZING to me. I am writing to you as I prepare for another day's end a a mad dash across town to my bowling league, (which is my outlet and an undercover small group…)

Now, what you see below was supposed to be my Facebook status update from my birthday and now I am forced to put it out this way so that I can get the link and add it to Facebook.

Because Facebook has allowed us to add tons more text, but the truth is that I was so affected by yesterday and today that I could not contain it to the now expanded 400 words. So, here is my loquacious response…

;)

Sorry FB for the overload…

It started with Facebook posts, text messages, emails, letters and cards. There were the gifts from my wife and kids, especially the puppy dog sticker for Anna's window in my car, (which I totally needed to compliment the LMNOP Daycare magnets on my street racing, speed shifting Honda Prelude family car!!!!!)

Then came the surprise birthday potluck party at the house with well-wishers, celebrators friends and family. And didn't stop there. The sheer volume of encouragements and words were overwhelming and that doesn't even take into account all the amazing favorite foods, desserts, Heaven's Bakery cookies and the awesome "Icing for Joy" Red Velvet Toolbox Cake!

I am so thankful for all of you. We read every one of the posts on Facebook to end the night and the truth is, family and friends, I would not be able to continue living this life, pushing the envelope, striving to see change in nations and working daily to grow leaders, a community of faith, international development, micro finance, humanitarian work and micro-enterprise if it were not for this volume of encouragement. GOD used every one of you in my life yesterday!!!!

I you ever wondered if youve ever been used by GOD, i am here to tell you that yesterday you were and it was PERFECT!!!!

Thank you!

I love every one of you. I miss many of you and want to simply say thank you. You made my year!

All I do from here is partially a result of your faith, prayer and words.

Wow!

Bless you all!!!!!!
Wish I could have been with you all this birthday!

Blessings and Thank you!!!!!

Leadership Summit Videos | Watch for FREE!

This is something cool. The guys at the Leadership Summit put their whole event online for free and you can watch it for a short time more.

See the email below for details and check it out!

Blessings!

D

Greetings!

We’ve had a number of requests come in from people asking if we could extend the Leadership and Influence Summit even longer to give more viewing time and enable additional sharing with others.

Would you like us to extend it beyond November 30th? If so, let us know by going to our Facebook page and posting a comment. If you aren’t already a friend on Facebook, just click the LIKE button in order to join in. If we get enough response, we’ll extent the summit and take it all the way through December 31st but this is the last extension we’ll be able to make.

And, because we love to equip you with additional resources, see below for a few new links that you may find useful (as well as a special audio download from John Maxwell on 7 Principles for Increasing Your Influence).

Have a great day!

Don’t Have Two Left Feet…

Guys, you have to check these out!!!!

Seriously, just play them on your iphone, ipad, itouch, Android, laptop, desktop, whatever the heck you got and WORSHIP JESUS! There is no reason why any one of us could not have our own personal worship services in our homes!

I challenge you to try a couple of these and BE WORSHIPFUL!

Misty Edwards, "You will Not Relent." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3spvQYlB-I&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Misty Edwards, "I Am Yours." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKpaDV7TGaU&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Misty Edwards, "Arms Wide Open." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2ZCIp0HiRo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

And seriously, "Arms Wide Open" is gonna mess you up!
Let's worship!

Actually, I dare you to close the doors, turn on the youtube worship and when no one is around, dance a wild worship dance to the LORD! Go ahead! Try it! I know it is improper, but don't you think the lame man would dance if he were able? And don't you read where the lame did jump, and shout and praise GOD when they were healed by Jesus? And were we not saved and delivered and healed from much more?

So, why not start dancing now before you get to heaven and find out you have two left feet? Just a thought…

From the Infamous Seiji Yamashita! | ACTIVATE your week 11/17/2010

Good morning everyone.

Today I’m not sending out a cutesy kind of e-mail with fun templates and formating but I had a really serious thought this morning that I want to share as straight forward as possible.  You can read the whole thing at http://justapen.wordpress.com/2010/11/17/paying-forward-sorta/

or I’ve pasted the text below.

Belssings everyone!

Paying Forward…sorta

NOVEMBER 17, 2010 BY JUSTAPEN LEAVE A COMMENT (EDIT)

We all know the movie with Haley Joel Osment and Christians especially I’ve found just love this movie.  They say things like “God loves us so much, He has given us so much and continues to give us so much and we’re so overwhelmed and amazed by His grace and generosity that we can’t begin to imagine paying it back, so we pay it forward.”

Which is awesome.  I love that idea.  I love that thought.  But I want to take it a slightly different direction today.

My buddy Dan King over at Bibledude.net is working on a fundraising project for building a playground in Haiti.  He talks about it at his post here.  (whoa, three links in two sentences.  I MUST be going nuts)

Anyways, I live in an apartment so I can’t have a garage sale but I can Pay it Forward.

I’m giving five dollars to the fundraising effort.  Just five.  Kind of lame I know, but here’s the deal.  Each dollar I contribute is a promise that I’ll find one person to do the same and then hold that person accountable to the same promise.

So I give five dollars, get five people to donate money and get 1 person per dollar to donate.  Then pass it on.

To make your own donation click on the donate button on this page.  Then leave a comment here saying how many more people you have pledged to bring on board for this project.

Thank You to Everyone!!!!!! …Especially Daeho!

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to send an email to say thank you to everyone who was so kind in really making Noah Gitau, (the National Director of the Vineyard) who was visiting with us feel so comfortable and connected. You guys really showed up. From the dinners, to the meetings, to leadership meeting and the Sunday leadership refresh event and even the church service, you guys truly impressed us all.

He said that you all were the most kind, connected, family-like community and he stated that he had a lot that he learned from you all especially in how you related to each other during the leadership meetings.

And as a matter of fact, he said specifically last night at our meal, that you guys, “Got it.. You really have it!” And that, “it” he meant was the love for one another that causes REAL, GENUINE community!

I just wanted to point that out to you today and encourage you all. I am so proud of you guys. Not because you impressed a National Director for the Vineyard, but because you are YOU!

Love you all so very much!

Special thanks to Daeho, Zuzana, Jon, Melly, Jason, Julie, Yong, Grace, Irene, Hector, Michelle & especially Lori and my family for making special time for Noah. And thanks anyone I have missed. If I missed someone who did something special during Noah’s visit, please email us all and give them a shoutout.

I am so blessed to know you all!!!!!!!! Love you much!!!!!

Blessings!
